Miles McCoy talk: 80 years with wooden boats

Long-time Orcas Island resident Miles McCoy will present a slide show and talk on his eight decades of sailing and boating in wooden boats. An excellent story teller, Miles has selected his best photos from boating in local waters and beyond for what promises to be an interesting and entertaining evening, not to be missed.

This event is at 7 p.m., April 12 at the Odd Fellows Hall. Miles’ talk is the Spring presentation of the Wooden Boat Society of the San Juan Islands. Free to all, donations appreciated

I recall Miles has a round lapel pin that says. “I own a wooden boat, it just needs a little work.” I’m sure his presentation will be very interesting.
