Through August 31

— from Lena Kass for Orcas Senior Center —

What do celebrating birthdays with family, seeing senior oral histories acted out by Salmonberry students, thrilling at the sight of an orca breaching, and receiving a valentine from a shy kindergartener have in common? They are all activities that our Senior Center brings to you, and that you support with your memberships, year after year. Thank you.

NOW is the time to jump into the New Membership Drive Challenge, running through August 31. We have a delicious incentive: All new members, members who refer a new member (or two or three), and members who upgrade to a Prime or Gold Premier Membership between July 1 and August 31, will be entered onto a drawing for super prizes including gift certificates to Inn at Ship Bay, Art of the Salish Sea, Islands’ Sounder, and Darvill’s Bookstore.

The new membership structure includes the Standard, Prime, and Gold Premier levels. The Gold Premier and Prime levels give many new benefits to the member, including free access to many classes, and free use of the Athletic Club.

New this year for all members is one small drip coffee until noon on Mondays at Island Market. Thank you, Island Market.

To see all the benefits for each membership level and to become a member online, go to www.orcasseniors.org. Membership forms can also be found at the OSC Front Desk.

Come find us at the Library Fair this Saturday, August 10 and at the Orcas Farmers’ Market on Saturday, August 17. We will have membership forms ready for you to fill out.
