Kristy Bredin
Join herbalist Kristy Bredin as she discusses regional plants with remedial uses found in the field, forest, and sea of the San Juan Islands. Kristy is passionate about exploring the natural world and working with local medicinal plants in ancient and creative ways.
Kristy began her herbalist journey in 2009, apprenticing with herbalists in New York. While wildcrafting medicinal herbs locally with Ryan Drum, she cultivated an in-depth knowledge of local plants and seaweeds. From 2013 to 2015 she ran a small business specializing in plant remedies of the Pacific Northwest called Mermaid Botanicals.
