Sunday, December 7 is the last day to make changes to your Medicare drug and Advantage plans for 2026. If your current plan will not be available next year, you have extra time to select a new plan, but don’t delay to avoid a coverage gap. SHIBA volunteers can help you choose the plan that fits your needs.
The SHIBA office calendar is full, but volunteers will host a drop-in enrollment event on Saturday, December 6, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Orcas Senior Center. No registration is needed. Sign up on arrival and volunteers will assist on a first-come, first-served basis.
SHIBA, sponsored by Orcas Senior Center, is a free, unbiased, and confidential informational service offered through the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner. Contact the Orcas Island SHIBA office at 360-376-5892 to schedule a counseling session.
