While many chose to watch or participate in the Annual Orcas Island Solstice Parade, it was not the only thing happening on the island that captured attention.

The ongoing Soccer World Cup competition brought in a crowd to watch the game on the big screen at Enzo’s. Chairs at all the cafe tables were removed to the creperie where sun-shunners could watch Germany and Ghana go at it.

While just a few blocks and a lifestyle away, Waterfront Park provided a quiet green respite from the days antics and athletics. On Orcas, life is good.
