Thursday June 9, 7 p.m., Emmanuel Episcopal Parish
— from Tina Whitman —
The Orcas Island Library and Friends of the San Juans invite you to an evening with marine toxicologist Riki Ott, PhD. on the topic of energy transitions. Join us on Thursday June 9 at 7 p.m. at the Emmanuel Episcopal Parish in Eastsound for an evening of dynamic storytelling about making healthy people and communities part of our energy future.
Learn how you can help make a difference.
After experiencing the trauma and devastation of the Exxon Valdez oil spill firsthand, Riki pledged to work towards transition off fossil fuels. Little did she know where this path would lead. Creating a different future starts by creating a different story.
The event is free and open to all. For more information please contact Friends of the San Juans at 360-378-2319.
