The Orcas Center Visual Arts Committee is proud to present Cheryl Richey, an accomplished and exciting abstract artist who has shown her work in numerous art galleries throughout the Northwest.
Cheryl’s spontaneous and experimental mixed media work incorporates materials ranging from charcoal, sand, and sawdust along with acrylics. She draws inspiration from nature and the metaphysical world.

“My process often begins with creating spontaneous, textured surfaces, then I consider how to make sense out of nonsense. My creative process succeeds when I am able to integrate free experimentation and deep personal expression.”

The Visual Arts Committee presents monthly exhibits at Orcas Center. For any questions regarding this show call, Leon Rosenblatt, 415 – 302 – 8116

Opening Reception, including a presentation by the artist on Friday March 2 , 5:30 to 7 p.m. The show will run through April 3.
