Marc Hennemann announced [earlier this spring] that he is a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in the Second Congressional District.

Mr. Hennemann served in the U.S. Air Force as an intelligence analyst and, following his retirement from active duty, worked as a social studies teacher in public high schools in North Carolina, Florida, and Colorado.

“I seek the office of Congressman because the Congress of the United States is where the crucial decisions will be made as we move into the third decade of the twenty-first century and beyond,” said Mr. Hennemann, “and I believe we can do better than we have for the past sixteen years. I want to be your advocate in Congress, an effective voice for the Puget Sound area: an advocate for sensible use of your tax dollars; an advocate for our veterans and our military; an advocate for American leadership in foreign policy; an advocate for international trade agreements that promote American companies and save American jobs; an advocate for everyone who lives in this beautiful area we all call home. That is why I seek this office. That is why I ask for your support.”

“Unlike my opponent, I have never been a lobbyist or a professional politician, nor have I made a career of holding public office,” Hennemann said. “Instead, I proudly served my country in the armed forces and then worked to educate the generation that will succeed us.”
