Opportunity for Orcas General Contractors Informational Meetings 1 p.m. at the Orcas School Library. The Orcas Island School District is working with the State of Washington’s ESPC (Energy Savings Performance Contracting) Team to develop and implement an energy conservation project at the Nellie S. Milton Building (aka: Orcas Elementary School). This project is being funded primarily through conservation grants provided by OSPI and the Department of Commerce. Interested contractors are requested to come by the Orcas School Library from 1 to 3 p.m. to express interest and to provide information on their capabilities. Friday Night Live Music at the Lower with Hillstomp! Portland Oregon junkbox blues duo HILLSTOMP is infamous for digging through the dumps and forgotten backwoods of American music, recycling traditional elements into a refreshing and distinctive brand of do-it-yourself hill country blues stomp.
