The Orcas Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a new Business Essentials mini-series. The course will be taught by Louise Carnachan, an Orcs Island resident who has been conducting management training reetreats for over 20 years.
“Skilled and Happy Staff = Happy Customers” is a two-session series for business owners and managers of both public and private enterprises. The course will address hiring and supervisory practices that lead to enhanced customer service. Topics will include: how to interview, how to orient and train new staff, how to coach if performance isn’t up to speed, and generational communication differences.
The mini-series will take place on Tuesday, April 21 and Wednesday, April 22, 6:30-8:30PM at the Eastsound Fire Hall classroom.
Cost for the two sessions is $40 for Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce members, $50 for non-members. To register, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 376-2273 or email info@orcasislandchamber.com.
