The Madrona Institute is pleased to announce the opening of its 2025 Request for Proposals for the San Juan Islands Stewardship Fund, supported by proceeds from the sales of the San Juan Islands Special License Plate.


The Stewardship Fund provides small grants to eligible organizations to support youth-focused environmental programs and climate resiliency initiatives across San Juan County. For 2025, a total of $25,000 in grant funding is available. Individual project proposals may request between $1,000 and $10,000.

Eligible applicants include nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, tribal entities, government agencies, and educational institutions.
