Lopez Farm Festival, October 7-11

Lopez Island Fall Farm Festival October 7-11

Visit Lopez Island for a weekend of fabulous, delicious and informative events to learn about farming in the San Juan Islands. Buy fresh fall harvest from farm stands.

Choose from over 15 events including a delectable fall harvest feast, sheepdog demonstrations, chicken butchering demonstration, tour and tasting at the islands’ oldest organic vineyard, shellfish farm tour and tasting, biodynamic farming, and much more.

Engage in thoughtful conversation with local farmers about sustainable practices, the taste of a strawberry, how to engage children in agriculture, and what our businesses and farms consider in defining “local” and “sustainable”.

The Lopez Island Fall Farm Festival is coordinated by the Agricultural Resources Committee of San Juan County (ARC), together with WSU SJC Agricultural Extension Office, as part of the ARC’s efforts to strengthen our county’s agricultural economy and expand awareness about sustainable farming in SJC. It is part of “Savor the San Juans: A Medley of Food, Art & Culture”, organized by the San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau during the month of October.
