Little Women at the Orcas Center Come enjoy this warm, heartfelt classic by Louisa May Alcott about four sisters growing up in a household with their mother, while their father is away at war. Orcas actor, director and teacher Robert Hall will stage an adaptation by John D. Ravold with dramaturge Michele Griskey, and Beth Baker, stage manager. Headless Head Regatta. Starts at 10 a.m. at the OIRA boathouse on Cascade Lake. Come and join us for a fun set of races. Open to all rowers of all ages. Free for rowers and spectators alike. It’s a race and it’s a party. You are encouraged to bring potluck food. But don’t stay away if you don’t want to prepare any food. Howl-o-ween Photos at Pawki’s. Bring your pets, in costume or in their birthday suits, by Pawki’s 199 Main Street in Eastsound) from 2 to 5 p.m. on Halloween for a free pet portrait!  The photos will go up on our website for you to choose from and print. Trick or Treat for Books Kids and parents are invited to the Orcas Public Library for a chance to show off their costumes and trick or treat for a book from 3 pm – 5 pm.  Come in and pick out a book and have your picture taken.  More information: Call Nita @ 376-4985.

Halloween  – Day of the Dead Labyrinth Walk is scheduled at Emmanuel Church Parish Hall in Eastsound on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 3 to 5 p.m. The public of all ages is welcome to attend including costumed children.

Eastsound Businesses Open for Trick or Treating Little ghosts & goblins are invited to visit the businesses of Eastsound on Halloween.  Many shops and stores will be open from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Odd Fellows Dance to 11 piece band Tiempo de Lopez, playing calypso, soca, reggae, mambo, meringue and other beats that will drive you crazy with dance fever. DJ Bruce Pavitt will provide breaktime dance grooves featuring world, funk and scary Halloween music to set the mood. Free Monster Movie – The Bride of Frankenstein – starts at 7 pm. Dance starts at 8:30 pm.  Admission is $10. Kitchen open all day and into the evening, so come have some dinner before the movie.
