Writer and mystic scholar Andrew Harvey will be in the San Juans over Mother’s Day weekend. The Living Room is hosting a workshop from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday May 9 from 1 to 6 p.m.
Harvey is a writer, translator and editor of many books, including: A Journey in Ladakh; A Way of Passion – A Celebration of Rumi; The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying; Teachings of the Christian Mystics; The Teachings of Rumi; and The Return of the Mother.
Susan Osborn of the Living Room says, “Andrew’s new book, The Hope – A Guide To Sacred Activism, will be out in September. His work is spiritually encompassing as well as practically useful. It bridges the divide between spirituality and activism, with a focus on the rise of the divine feminine–in both men and women–as a blueprint for a survivable future. His workshops are funny and serious as well as informative and inspiring.”
The cost for the workshop is $65. Scholarships are available for the workshop at the Living Room, which includes afternoon tea.
There will be limited space available so pre-registration is recommended. Call 378-3854 or email: jthomas@rockisland.com.
