Linda Slone, Orcas Island School District Library Assistant, has received a $500 scholarship form Public School Employees of Washington/SEIU 1948 (PSE). Dave Douglass, chair of the scholarship committee complimented Slone for her success.
“With this scholarship, PSE and its 27,000 members are pleased to help Linda reach her academic goals,” Douglass siad.
Linda plans to attend University of Washington Extension.
PSE is a labor union representing clasified educaton support professionals in K-12 public schools and universities. Each school year PSE awards $5,000 in scholarships to union members.
