The Orcas Island Lit Fest is pleased to announce the release of a limited number of standalone tickets for its highly anticipated musical finale, “Word Play: an Evening of Songs and Stories.” This one-of-a-kind showcase of authors and musicians will take place at the Orcas Center on June 3 at 7 p.m.
With readings by authors Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, Gilbert King, John Moe, Garth Stein, Kirstin Valdez Quade, plus musical performances by Olivia Awbrey, LéPonds and Haley Heynderickx, “Word Play” offers a unique literary musical experience that aims to captivate the audience through a seamless fusion of live music, and storytelling.
A small number of tickets will go on sale at oilf.org beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 26. Tickets are $25 online or $30 at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Detailed information about this year’s artists, events, and tickets can be found at oilf.org
