Life Church Kids Team for “Cup of Life”

By Carol Kulminski

“Every six seconds someone dies of water-related problems around the world,” according to the International Director, Terry Waller, for the Water for All Project. Life Church Kids have teamed up with World Concern to do something about that. They are doing a service project to raise funds to help build a well in a country where people need clean water. They have created a “Cup of Life” and will be asking for change to put in the cup until they have enough to help build a well.

Water For All has developed a motorized well drilling and pump technology that allows poor families to drill their own water wells for a very low cost. More than 2,000 wells have been drilled with Water For All technology in eight countries. This is one of several service projects that Life Kids have done with World Concern.

Life Church meets each Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Senior Center and is open to all.
