— from Jenny De Groot, Children’s Librarian —
Readers of all ages will explore all things fairytale, fantasy, and myth this summer as Orcas Island Public Library presents “Imagine Your Story” library programing. Children’s activities include: the ever popular ‘books for library dollars‘ program, virtual creature creation programs, and a new explorer program sure to get kids and families out and onto their island preserves this summer.
The 2020 Summer Reading Program (SRP) runs June 21 to August 15. Registration for the children’s SRP starts on Wednesday, June 17 during our new curbside hours (i.e. M, W, F, noon – 3 pm). The first 100 kids to register get a free bandana! Teens and adults are also encouraged to grab a book bingo card and attend this summer’s activities.
For more information, call the library at 360 376-4985 or visit our website. All programs are free and open to the public.
