The library is celebrating National Poetry Month with a Poetry Open Mic – Event which runs Thursday, April 25, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Anyone can sign up to read: children, youths, teen, adults. You can read your own original works or recite selections from your favorite poet. Sessions will run between three minutes and five minutes, depending on the number of people signed up to read.
Everyone is welcomed to come and listen to poetry; you don’t have to read, just enjoy and support our community.
Sign-up begins at 5:30 p.m. on the day of the event; reading begins at 6 p.m.
