The photography of Clark Allen is featured in the Orcas Island Library’s November art exhibit.
Clark is an artist, photographer and writer who has lived on Orcas for less than two years. His work has appeared in galleries across the US and abroad, and is in the collections of the New Orleans Museum of Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
In this exhibit entitled Land Acknowledgement, Clark presents a series of photographs interpreting Orcas Island through his eyes. in his words, “My aim is to create a portrait of this place beyond its beauteous sunsets and otherwordly fogs, with particular gesture toward its native heritage.”
