The Orcas Island Public Library continues the spring Money Smart program series, with a free class, “Your Financial Health, End-of-Year Checkup.”
Popular presenter, Don Cooper, CPA with the Friday Harbor firm of Lake, Kennedy, McCulloch will guide participants in getting their 2013 financial house in order. Topics will include updates to income and Social Security taxes, maximize capital gains and losses, annual credit report review, end-of-year charitable contributions, and beneficiary updates. Those attending will also get information on how to capitalize 2014 strategies.
