||| FROM DAVE KOSIUR for ORCAS LIBRARY ARTS COMMITTEE |||
Want to Exhibit Your Art? Now’s your chance. The Art Committee at the Orcas Island Public Library is now seeking applications for the 2023 exhibit schedule. All types of art — painting, sculpture, photography, mixed-media — are acceptable.
Interested Orcas Island artists 16 years or older should submit to the Committee Chair, Dave Kosiur ( dkosiur@gmail.com ), an application including the following:
- name, address, email, and phone number
- six digital copies of your work
- a brief (200 word) statement covering the artist’s interests and background
Brochures with additional information about submissions and exhibiting are available at the front desk of the Orcas Island Library. Please ensure that the application is submitted to Dave no later than October 1, 2022. The Library Art Committee will review applications and notify artists about the 2023
exhibit schedule by November 8th.
For the past five years, the Orcas Island Public Library has added support for the visual arts on Orcas Island by inviting island artists to exhibit in the newly expanded library. The Library is pleased to have had four dozen artists display their work in the past four years and will continue this program for 2023.
Thank you to all the wonderful island artists who exhibited in the past five years! We look forward to even more examples of local artistry in the next year.
