Orcas Island Library invites adult writers to settle in after hours for Library After Dark: Writing Night on Monday, February 9, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. This welcoming evening is designed for adults seeking focused writing time and a supportive creative community.
The event features 90 minutes of uninterrupted writing, followed by 30 minutes of optional sharing for those who wish to read aloud or discuss their work. Writers of all genres and experience levels are welcome, whether they’re working on fiction, nonfiction, poetry, journaling, or personal projects.
Library After Dark: Writing Night offers a calm, distraction-free environment that encourages creativity, connection, and momentum—no pressure, no critique, just dedicated time to write.
