Dear Friends,
As part of the Orcas Island Historical Society and in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institute, Nancy Wang has pulled together a “Journey Stories” program called “Journeys That Shape Our Lives” on Saturday, August 7.

Nancy Wang & Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo are talented & creative storytellers who have preformed all over the world. Please explore:   ethnohtec.org

Anji Ringzin has been presenting Rumi poetry around the state since the early 90s.  For Anji’s Rumi reading of Rumi’s poems with interspersed info about Rumi’s life, Robert will accompany her on his bamboo flute.

I will speak about the Zen Peacemakers annual Bearing Witness Retreat at Auschwitz which I have been attending annually since 1995 and attempt to somehow articulate what these sojourns to Auschwitz has taught me about the limits of compassion and the malleable boundaries of our humanity. Please explore: zenpeacemakers.org/sa/auschwitz
