The holiday tradition continued this past Saturday with the annual tree lighting ceremony at the village green.
It wouldn’t have been possible without the help of a great many elves … Perry Pugh and Ron Gilleland for brightly trimming the tree; Scott & Judy Whiting (and their alter egos, Santa & Mrs. Claus); Orcas Fire Department, who safely delivered the couple from the North Pole; George Garrels of Kiwanis for crafting original toys; Ray’s Pharmacy and Moon Glow Arts & Crafts for their generous toy donations; the always-melodic Community Band; and the many generous Chamber members who volunteered, and baked cookies & treats for all to enjoy.
