Sept. 10, 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall

— by Hilary Canty, Director OICF —

For the second year, the Orcas Island Community Foundation (OICF) has received national recognition for its philanthropic work. According to CF Insights, a national foundation research organization, OICF ranked #6 in the US for “Gifts per Capita,” and #19 for “Most Active Grantmakers.” CF Insights surveyed 280 community foundations throughout the county to assess granting and community impact. They tracked ‘Most Active Grant makers,’ ‘Most Gifts per Capita’ and ‘Most Activity.’ View the full CF Insights report for 2014 on OICF’s website (www.oicf.us).

Receiving top ranking is great, but living in a community that cares for each other is the true prize. This national ranking is due entirely to the generosity of the many friends and neighbors who give to and through OICF to support the amazing programs that keep Orcas thriving.

OICF’s annual Report to Community is September 10th, 4:00 to 6:30 at the Odd Fellow’s Hall in Eastsound. We hope you will join us and learn more about your Community Foundation and the opportunities to work together. Thanks to you, we have much to celebrate! Delicious appetizers and beverages will be served. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or at the OICF office, 141 Prune Alley, Suite 201.
