Early this morning, thanking us for our patience while the newer, faster and larger Sealth served our interisland route:

Ana/SJs – Update: The Tillikum Returns as Interisland Vessel
After successful maintenance, repairs, and inspections, the Tillikum has returned to the Anacortes/San Juan Islands route . The Tillikum has replaced the Sealth as the interisland vessel.  Thank you for your patience as we maintain, repair, and inspect our vessels.

And then less than four hours later, the freshly maintained, repaired and inspected Tillikum was taken out of service before its very first interisland trip:

Ana/Sjs-Update: Interisland Vessel Out of Service Due to Vessel Maintenance
The Interisland vessel is out of service until further notice due to necessary vessel maintenance.  Vessel engineers are on board the vessel troubleshooting.  Updates will occur when more information is available.

All inter-island traffic will be rerouted through Anacortes.
