Dear Orcas Voters,
I am writing this letter to urge your YES votes for the Capital Projects /Technology Levy on the April 27, 2021 ballot.

The pandemic highlighted the crucial role technology now plays in education. Our public schools rely on your support in providing our students access to the essential tools needed for successfully navigating education in the 21st century. This replacement levy will continue that support by providing the funds to upgrade technology equipment – such as laptops and computers; digital curriculum, online assessment systems, ongoing training and the important updates and upgrades for maintenance of the appropriate network infrastructure.

It will also support construction for small projects that will protect and preserve the facilities. The cost will be less than the levy this one replaces – between .19 and .17 cents per $1000 of assessed property values, which equals an annual cost of just $76 for a property valued at $400,000.

Please continue support for our public schools!
