92 percent of the people in Jennifer Swanson’s community voted for her for San Juan County Council
in the primary elections. That’s how much she is loved, honored and appreciated by her neighbors.
Jennifer also won 20 out of 23 precincts in the primaries, which illustrates how much she is respected
on all the islands.

Jennifer has run a professional campaign, focused on the difficult issues facing our county and what
she brings to the table to address those issues. In her community, she is known for her ability to:
work on issues before they become problems, bring people of various viewpoints together, and
get things done.

Jennifer has organized a clean campaign, without drama. Showing grace under pressure, she has
insisted on no ad hominem or personal attacks against her opponent and no twisting of the truth.
Jennifer has done all of this without a paid political consultant or media production specialists and
by not using the negative politics that seem to define our country today. Hers is a volunteer based
campaign benefiting and befitting all of our San Juan Islands community.

Working with forthright honesty and clarity, being smart and taking the high road, this is how she
will operate as a member of the San Juan County Council. Among her many personal and professional
attributes, Jennifer Swanson is a substantive, highly qualified and resilient professional.

During the nearly seven decades that our family has lived in the islands, we have known and worked
with many SJC Council Members. Jennifer Swanson will be one of the best.
