I am proud to endorse and strongly recommend a vote for Kari McVeigh for County Council. She has held many positions of significant responsibility prior to coming to the island and has continued that here as Superintendent of the SJI School District and the Shaw Island School District.
Kari plans for effective governance with consistent, inclusive and transparent communication, budgeting that reflects our priorities and values as a community, and fully informed decision-making. She understands the need to address affordable housing, balancing environmental protection with economic growth, and doing all of this without compromising the unique qualities of the San Juans
that we value so dearly.
When I look for a candidate to help lead us forward the things I want in that candidate are experience, collaboration, and transparency. These are all qualities Kari has. If you don’t want to sell out to big developers I urge you to vote for Kari!
