I would like to publicly endorse Rick Hughes for County Council.
I have had the pleasure of getting to know Rick as a fellow Rotarian, client of the business I work for and as Rick the county council person. In all these roles Rick has shown great leadership, resolve and self-motivation to get the task at hand accomplished. In addition, Rick accomplished these tasks, not alone, but with the ability to get several parties from different
backgrounds together to build the team needed to get it done. Rick is a good listener and is willing to try new ideas to get the job done.
I believe that Rick’s past experience in this role is what is best for the county council at this time especially with the other position in District #1 being filled by a new representative.
I am endorsing Rick Hughes for County Council district #2.

I am pleased that Orcas has TWO excellent candidates to choose between for county council this election. We are not always so lucky. Voting for the “least bad” option is disheartening up and down the ballot and it is reassuring to know that, on the local level at least, we will have sane, competent leadership no matter who wins in November.
