Don’t worry, he is not going to build a bridge from the mainland, it is a metaphor. I support Rick Hughes for County council because he is the best person for the job.
There is a reason that Rick is supported by all our legislatures in Olympia, that is because he has developed relationships
and found common ground with them. These relationships, along with so many others that Rick has developed over the past 12 years, are so important to our County because we rely heavily on the State for funding needs that are specific to our county.
The combination of experience, levelheadedness, and consensus building is what our county needs right now.
I have known and been a friend of Rick’s for over 25 years. In that time, I have always known him to be a helpful and considerate person. Rick does a lot behind the scenes to help people not looking for recognition or credit.
I have seen Rick deal with adversity in his life with stoicism all while maintaining concern for others. Rick has lived a life of service to his community, and I am grateful for all he has done.
Please join me in voting for Rick for County council this November.

Yes, give Rick the chance to continue the plans he was working on. This is the time in his life when he can be most beneficial to the islands: experience, past accomplishments, relationships, influence., forward thinking, attention to our “senior population” needs.. Give the Islands Rick’s expertise NOW..he is still young!
