I have known Stephanie O’Day for a long time, and I am writing to enthusiastically endorse Stephanie for the position of County Council District 1. Having had the pleasure of working with Stephanie on several professional projects, I have witnessed firsthand her exceptional qualities and unwavering dedication to not only my project, but to our community.
Stephanie possesses a unique combination of professionalism, level-headedness, and decisiveness, which I believe are crucial traits for a County Council member. In every project we collaborated on, she demonstrated a remarkable ability to approach challenges with a calm and rational mindset. Her well-rounded perspective and thoughtful decision-making process resulted in successful outcomes.
One of the standout qualities of Stephanie is her commitment to making informed and balanced decisions. She takes the time to thoroughly research and understand the issues at hand, listens to diverse viewpoints, and weighs the potential impacts before arriving at a conclusion. This meticulous approach ensures that her decisions are not only well-grounded but also in the best interest of the community.
I have no doubt that Stephanie will bring the same level of dedication, integrity, and sound judgment to the County Council. Her passion for our community and her vision for its future make her an outstanding candidate who will work tirelessly to address the needs and concerns of all residents.

That all sounds nice, but what about her policy proposals? Being calm and decisive doesn’t mean she has the best interests of islanders in mind.
In an interview on her website she claims to have a $26,000 annual property tax bill. I haven’t looked up her property holdings but this number indicates a substantial value of property ownership. Can such a person still have the interests of the “working class” in mind?
In the same interview she claims that a large number of untaxed parcels is the reason her property tax bill is so high. She has also been linked to proposals to remove Land Bank parcels (which are… untaxed) and build housing on them.
Connect the dots. Seems like she’s out for her own interests.
