I wish to emphasize my support of Kari McVeigh for County Council. The county is facing a plethora of complex challenges the complexity of which are multiplied by budget issues, shifting state and federal law, and having a new county administrator.
None of the issues are simple and all of them are to some degree inter-active. This creates a situation where careful, cautious, and empathic leadership will keep us from making the situation worse when we really need to make it better. We need leadership that is practiced and comfortable in dealing with complex management challenges.
The simple truth is we will have all of our executives at the beginning of a very steep learning curve (possible exception is Rick Hughes) with huge economic ramifications. It will really be to our collective benefit to not screw this up.
So please join me in voting for Kari McVeigh for Council District 1.
