As a former San Juan County Commissioner, I am excited about the opportunity to have Justin Paulsen from Orcas on the County Council.
Justin played a major role in the recent success of obtaining emergency funding for ferry service in the islands. He is clearly a team player who is willing to work the long haul for the citizens of this County.
There is nothing flashy about Justin. He is simply a solid, hard-working family man who cares about community and public service. Justin brings all perspectives to the table and listens thoughtfully. He weighs the information and seeks suitable responses or solutions.
He is a recognized supporter of affordable housing having received the Fisher Award in Service of Fair Housing by Opal CLT. He has served on several community boards and is currently a Commissioner of Orcas Island Park and Recreation.
He has my support.
