As a longtime volunteer and advocate for the welfare of seniors, I have seen first-hand the impact that Orcas Senior Center (OSC) programs have on the lives of those they serve and their families. I fully support OSC’s efforts to purchase its building.
OSC provides social connection, fosters friendships, and ensures the wellbeing of older adults in our community. Its programs combat loneliness among seniors, helping them maintain physical, mental, and cognitive health. Initiatives like Companion Services, Home Maintenance and Repair, and Meals on Wheels create a supportive environment where seniors can thrive.
As the island’s senior population grows, we must secure the resources and facilities necessary to meet its needs. Your support in OSC will broaden the nonprofit’s reach, enhance its services and ensure that no senior is left behind.
