||| FROM SUZANNE MYERS |||
I have been a member of the Orcas Senior Center for a number of years now. Although not a regular user of the facility I have enjoyed classes and events on occasion. I like to support what they do.
My memorable activities over the years include a trip to the Northwest Garden Show, Grannie’s Attic sales, balance classes (which really helped me through a period of time when I had serious balance issues), lunches with clients I was caregiving, chair yoga class, and informative classes on wills, health and wellness. I have taken advantage of mobile mammogram services offered at the senior center, and also borrowed walkers, wheelchairs, and bath assist equipment for clients I was caregiving from the Lions Club.
I feel fortunate to have the Orcas Senior Center here on the island. It’s so nice to have the support for all of us seniors. There are so many of us here and I always see someone I know when I stop by.
