Hi Rick. Just an FYI …. you have my vote! You have the experience and pragmatism to get things done. You have been functioning in a non-partisan manner as the charter requests, and you speak for all people. You know how to balance idealism and pragmatism, and in this world, this is a necessity.
As one of the original freeholders who rewrote our county charter working on 6 committees and heading three of them, my hat is off to you for your selfless leadership, courage, and knowledge. Thank you so much!
I concur Jeff. Thanks for writing. I’m a conservative, a lonely position to be in in these islands. I always felt Rick Hughes was willing to be a friend and listen. We don’t always agree, but he is a straight shooter, standing for what is right to the best of his ability. I encourage everyone to vote for Rick. We need a steady hand going through these times. One new council member from San Juan is enough change.
