I am delighted that Greg Ayers is seeking a position as our Port Commissioner. Over the past five years I have had the pleasure of getting to know him as a community contributor in many realms.
His service on EPRC is recognized and appreciated. So too is his contribution of time and energy on the Eastsound Sewer and Water Board. Greg and Pat’s philanthropic contributions to several island nonprofits is of note as well.
On a professional level I have observed the business wisdom and acumen Greg brings to every conversation. “He tells it like it is” is a most apt description. No BS from Greg.
As our community evolves, the Port District may play a larger role. It is critical that the Port operate with solid governance. Greg is the guru on governance and will lead from a place of transparency in all decisions.
