— from Don Webster —

On Saturday, Apr. 15, the Orcas Island Lions Club hosted its Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Moran State Park. There were at least 136 eager egg hunters that morning and they made short work of the 900+ eggs we had hidden in the area.

The Lions would like to express our appreciation to the volunteers who helped us with the preparations, the staff at Moran State Park who had the facilities in great shape, the Friends of Moran who arranged an appearance by the “Easter Newt” who helped Lion Cottontail engage the children before the hunt and to Orcas Issues for helping us promote this fun event.

Most of all, thanks to the parents, grandparents and friends who brought the children to the event. They make it all worthwhile.
