Thank you to everybody who made this sale a success. Orcas Island has such a rich treasure in its many remarkable elders and we are very grateful to have the support we need to continue offering them essential services.

Thanks to those of you who have worked hard year after year to make this event what it is and to those of you who were new this year and brought new life, energy and hope for future events.

Our efforts have certainly paid off. We collected over $10,000 in sales on Saturday and there is still much more value in the items that we have left over. We will be following this sale with a Granny’s Attic Yard Sale in June. The art collected during this and previous sales has been organized into an Art Auction which will take place on July 9th. Items for the Art Auction will be hung at the Senior Center on the 5th and 6th of June and bidding will begin on June 13th.

It is certainly life affirming to me to have been supported by more than 30 active volunteers throughout preparation, set-up and during the day of the event. I am filled with gratitude by the generosity of this community and their willingness to come together and support this worthy cause.
