Thank you for doing this!
It seems that people are getting motivated – at least in terms of hand sanitizers. Rays Pharmacy – and their suppliers are already out. A truckload of those would be good to have for Orcas this week. There’s plenty of soap and water around though, and I think we’re all going to become much more diligent about using them!
Aren’t group gatherings risky. Even groups about safety? And what about the people from the community Rotary has decided to exclude from their gatherings already? Seems the targeting of untouchables began before COVID-19. Just a warm-up exercise maybe. One wonders if virus droplets are the most dangerous thing spread on Orcas by talking. Or maybe we should just identify those organizations most prone to bullying. Sortof an Orcas special ‘me too’ section of perverse altruism. “bylaws? we don’t need no stinkin’ bylaws.” It’s legal because we say so and asking for an explanation just proves why you are excluded. Right?!
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?”
That would be a big “NO” times four. Whatever are you thinking! Bullying violates your central tenets. Perhaps you should be asked to withdraw from this kind of public activity until you can hew to your own principles.
