Want to plant a garden, but don’t know where to begin? Don’t think you have enough room in your backyard for a garden? Brad Helm, a co-founder of Seattle Urban Farm Co. will be answering these questions and more at the next Orcas Island Garden Club’s meeting March 15 at 10 a.m., at Orcas Center.

Mr. Helm will show: how to build a planting calendar; how to choose appropriate varieties of vegetables; how to have success in your planting; how to make garden maps and how to use crop rotation plans.

So if you’d like to experience the joy of eating your own tomatoes that you grew in your own backyard this summer, join us for a fun and educational talk with Brad Helm.
