Our twelve-day flagship program will include three overnight retreats on Orcas, San Juan and Lopez Islands, supporting our immersive learning objectives.

• Orientation – SJI December 11 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
• Use of Self / Skills I – Orcas January 7-9 (arrive Thurs. Night / depart Sat. afternoon)
• Health & Human Services – San Juan January 22 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Governance Day / Skills II – San Juan February 5-6 (arrive Fri. AM / / depart Sat. afternoon)
• Art, History & Culture / Skills III – Lopez March 5-6 (arrive Fri. AM / / depart Sat. afternoon)
• Economics Day – Orcas March 19 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Ecology Day – Lopez April 23 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Graduation – San Juan May 7 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

LSJI ANNUAL MEETING- San Juan May 22 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Candidates from across the Islands are selected based on the following criteria: commitment to community involvement, evidence of interest in developing and utilizing leadership skills, and demonstrated involvement in the San Juan Islands. Space is limited to twenty participants.

Tuition for the program is $925, plus an Application Fee of $50. Many candidates are sponsored by their organizations and partial scholarships and a payment plan are available.

In addition, Orcas Island Community Foundation (OICF) has the L.E.A.D.Program, offering leadership development funding to nonprofit organizations that serve Orcas Island. The deadline for application is July 21 so please apply soon.
