Newest numbers. The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) reported a total of 525,243 confirmed cases as of 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 6. In all, there have been 6,745 deaths in Washington due to COVID-19.

COVID-19 long-term care report. As of Sept. 6, a total of 22,306 COVID-19 cases and 2,776 deaths have been identified as associated or likely associated with a long-term care facility (such as nursing home, assisted living facility, or adult family home). Inslee amends Washington Ready proclamation, issues new COVID-19 proclamation for nursing homes. Gov. Inslee amended the Washington Ready emergency order (Proclamation 20-25) and issued a new order to combat the spread of the delta variant in nursing homes (Proclamation 21-15). Hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Mondays, and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and on state holidays.
