The Orcas Island Lady Vikings soccer team pushed one step closer to a state title Saturday with a 1-0 win over Liberty Bell from Twisp.

Probably thirty assorted family members, friends, and fans made the trip over to Snohomish where the game was contested.  Both teams managed to stave each other off and regular play ended with no score from either team.

After the first five minute overtime, the stalemate continued, but halfway in the second five minute overtime, Allison O’Toole took the winning shot after the Vikings exhibited great teamwork with a series of passes leading up to the shot by O’Toole.

The Lady Vikings will play their semifinal match against LaConner this Friday at 2 p.m. in Sumner at Sunset Chev Stadium.   A win there will put the girls in THE finals the next day.
