Fred Klein, Eastsound property owner and party to several county lawsuits challenging its Growth Management Act compliance policies, will join the Eastsound Planning Review Committee at its Oct. 1 meeting today.
There remains one open position on the County advisory committee.
A review of a letter to the county regarding Parking Credits in Eastsound will also be discussed, along with updates from the County Council by Gene Knapp and/or Richard Fralick.
Also on the agenda are:
- a review the Farish Short Plat file, which has gone before the County Planning Commission, and proposes a conference center across the street from the Outlook Inn.
- an update from County Senior Planner Colin Maycock regarding the Country Corner LAMIRD and Site Specific rezoning to be submitted to County Council.
- A report on the A- Board Sign ordinance
- A discussion of the Critical Areas Ordinance and the overlay of the Eastsound Sub Area Plan (continued from September)
- Identification of Issues and next steps.
- Identify a committee member to work with the San Juan Initiative on uplands project.
The committee meets on the first Thursday of each month at 3 p.m. in the Orcas Senior Center. The public is welcome to attend.
