Kids are invited to a special storytime/craft activity this Saturday, April 21, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Orcas Island Public Library to help kick off Money Smart Week.

The Berenstain Bears’ Trouble with Money will introduce kids to some thoughts about being responsible with money. Following the story, kids will have a chance to decorate and personalize their own money savings bank which they can use to put their new money skills into practice.

The coin banks will be on display in the Library throughout the week of April 21-28, so be sure to check them out when coming to the other Money Smart Week seminars at the Library.

This event is free and no registration is necessary. For more information, please contact Nita Couchman at 376-4985. For more information about other Money Smart Week events, go to www.orcaslibrary.org or call 376-4985.
