Tryouts are August 17 and 19
“Whale of a Show” returns to Orcas this fall, and tryouts are happening soon. Linda Sheridan of Orcas Recreation Program will organize the show, and former Rec Coordinator Didier Gincig will be the Emcee for the performance on Sept. 11.
Sheridan says, “The Whale of a Show is a great opportunity for kids to get on stage and perform their own unique act in front of a supportive audience. Performances can include song, dance, musical instruments, spoken word, or something of a unique nature that you choose! It is always a fun and entertaining show for all.”
Kids aged 5 to 18 are invited to tryout for the show on either August 17 or 19 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Senior Center in Eastsound. A CD player and piano will be provided, and auditioners are asked to bring all other props or musical instruments neededed.
The final show is at 7 p.m. on September 11 the Orcas Center. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for kids 12 and under.Volunteers are welcome to help produce Whale of a Show, and can call 376-5339
