The annual Kaleidoscope Pet Parade brings out animal-loving Orcas Islanders, including Kaleidoscope Director Amber Paulson at far left in orange apron.

They came on two legs and four legs, with sunglasses and leashes, with tongues hanging out and tails wagging, to strut their stuff in the Kaleidoscope Pet Parade on Saturday, May 25.

Local businesses sponsored the fund-raiser, led by Pawkis_For_Pets which provided pictures of each parade entrant for the childcare center fundraiser. Following the parade, Kaleidoscope offered barbecue provided by the Lower Tavern  at the Bite of Orcas on the Eastsound Village Green.

The mission of Kaleidoscope Childcare Center  is “to provide safe, affordable, high-quality, consistent childcare and preschool while supporting Orcas Island families.”

Kaleidoscope Director Amber Paulson reminds islanders that there are openings in all levels at the center on North Beach Road, and that Kaleidoscope welcomes drop-in visitors Monday through Friday throughout the summer.
